Paul has a strong clinical and research interest in neuro-oncology with a deep-seated focus on neurocognitive outcomes of patients with brain tumors. He has written numerous neuro-oncology protocols for several groups including Mayo Clinic, NCCTG, the Alliance, SWOG, ECOG, RTOG, and NRG with leadership positions in many research cooperative groups. He is highly involved in scores of ongoing and past protocols several of them practice changing. He feels honored and blessed to have mentored and worked with so many wonderful colleagues.
