Working From Home - How can Radiation Oncology Navigate Down the Remote Slope

Purpose: Is the current model of Work From Home workable? Finding the right balance with the needs of the clinic while guaranteeing quality of life.
Methodology: A talk encompassing the past of why healthcare, in particular radiation oncology has been averse to remote work. Post -Covid radiation oncology has been more inviting to certain sections of the workforce working remotely. Thinking to the future - where is the field headed? This talk will draw resources available online and personal clinical experience.
Results: Remote work or more so hybrid work is here to stay. The key is how to make it more cost effective, process efficient and overall, retain work force. It is not a thing of the past anymore and it is cannot be a topic that is deferred to future discussions.
Conclusions: The key is to ensure that the needs of the clinics are balanced with individual's needs. This will lead to better work-life balance, quality of life and more engagement in the clinic.
