Adaptive Radiation Therapy: What you need to know to create a successful program

Purpose: To define the role of adaptive radiation therapy in current practice and to create a roadmap of how to make a successful program
Methodology: Present different methods of adaptive RT and then concentrate on the CT based method. Describe what is needed for pre-planning, installation and implementation. Describe the steps needed for administration for ROI , the development of templates and the role of billing/coding in reimbursement. Describe the roles of the RT, Physicist and Physician in planning and treatment.
Results: Discuss the clinical and financial outcomes of approximately 1 year of adaptive treatments at Fox Chase.
Conclusions: Show the roadmap of progress from idea to implementation to 1 year post implementation. Describe the lessons learned and benefits.
