Describe the fundamentals of laryngeal anatomy, surgical options for early-stage cancer treatment, and general history of larynx-preserving treatment with conventional radiotherapy.
Understand the relevant published literature for partial larynx radiation treatment for early-stage disease and to be aware of ongoing prospective clinical trials investigating this approach.
Develop familiarity with treatment planning approaches to achieve carotid-sparing and/or localized single-cord treatment with IMRT techniques.
